God's Love

Ephesians 3:14-19

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

I love this passage. It is so filled with hope and expectation. I love that God has unlimited resources. How cool is that? On hard days when I read through this, I'm usually crying by the time I read that he empowers me with inner strength. Oh, how I need the inner strength that only comes through the Holy Spirit! I love the imagery of my roots growing down deep into God's love. Shivers! What an awesome thing to keep us rooted and strong - the endless depths of God's love for us. That really is so empowering. How can we possibly comprehend the extent to which God loves us? We can't. It's that great! I love that God is the one to make us complete with fullness of life. That gives me the greatest boost to my identity that I could ever have! I am a daughter of the KING.
