Taco Chili

This is my prize winning chili! We love that it is customizable with the optional toppings. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 (1 1/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (1-ounce) package Ranch salad dressing mix
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can beef broth
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can tomatoes with chilies (Rotel)
2 (15 1/2-ounce) cans pinto beans
1 (15 1/2-ounce) can pink kidney beans
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
2 (4 1/2-ounce) cans diced green chilies
1 bay leaf

Optional Toppings:
Corn chips
Sour cream
Grated cheese
Green onions, sliced
Black olives
Jalapenos
Avocado, diced (squeeze lime juice over avocado to keep from browning)
Lime

Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef in a large Dutch oven.

2. Add onions and cook for 5 minutes or until softened. Drain any excess fat. Mix in taco seasoning, Ranch seasoning, and green chilies.

4. Add beef broth and stir quickly to deglaze Dutch oven. Add the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, beans, corn, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour.

5. Serve with desired toppings and chips.
