Taiwanese Tuesday

Welcome to the very first Interactive Taiwanese Tuesday!!! What is this awesome thing, you ask? Well, I would really love to know if you have tried any of my recipes. Here is what I have posted thus far:

Beef Noodles (Niu Rou Mein)
Beef with Vegetables
Cashew Chicken
Chinese Pancakes
Egg Drop Soup
Fried Rice
General Tso's Chicken
Kung Pao Chicken
Minced Shrimp in Lettuce Cups
Quick Dipping Sauce
Schezuan Bean Curd (Mapo Tofu)

1.  Have you tried any of my recipes? If so, did you like it?

2.  Is there a recipe that you would like to see me post? I can't promise that I will be able to post what you are looking for, but I'm certainly willing to look into it. :-)

Edited to add:
3.  Feel free to ask me questions about ingredients or directions. I'll be happy to answer to the best of my knowledge.

  1. I want to, I really do! But it seems like there is always something in it that I don't have on hand and haven't gone to the store to see if I can get it here. I need to be more diligent to write those things down and look the next time I take a trip to the store! =)

  2. Thanks for the comment, Tina. It gave me an idea of how to easily give substitution suggestions without typing them out each time. Also, feel free to ask me questions! :)

  3. You know I've tried a couple. :) And plan to try some more! I keep forgetting about those Chinese pancakes. I may have to prioritize that one soon!

Okay, so far we've made your Fried Rice and Cashew Chicken (sorta!) Kung Pao is next in line, per Scott. :D

As for requests... What about Chow Mein or Lo Mein?

  4. Esther -
The interesting thing about your request is that what I would call Chow Mein - you would call Lo Mein. :) I am planning on working on that recipe one day...maybe next month or so. :)
