Hawaiian red alaea sea salt is red in color and tastes different than other sea salts. It is well worth the effort to find it. I order it from Amazon.
Ingredients:
6 pounds Boston butt pork roast
1 1/2 tablespoons Hawaiian red alaea sea salt
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
Directions:
1. Pierce pork all over with large fork. Rub sea salt and liquid smoke all over pork. Place in large slow cooker and cook on low heat for 10-15 hours.
2. Remove pork from slow cooker and let rest. Pour juice into fat separator and let rest.
3. Shred pork, discarding any bones and fat. Return to slow cooker and pour juice over the meat.
4. Keep meat and juice on warm until ready to eat.

That looks tasty! And oh-so-simple! Guess I better get me some of that salt...
